I enjoyed the book a lot. I thought it had a lot of bulk to it in the small amount of pages the author wrote. However, I wanted more of a mystery/thriller book than thins, a book that would make me want to read more. This book was pretty predictable, and had almost no element of mystery at all. But I do think that the way the author wrote the book made it readable. His third person was very good, and the narrator (David) did an excellent job at explaining the situation.

I enjoyed the novel because the suspese kept me hooked. I did not suspect many of the turns that the plot took. The author's style of writing also added to the enjoyment.

I thought that the book was good. It had alot of details in it, which made it kinda boring as the story moved on. To me, even though it is a mystery book, it was kinda lacking suspense and drama (But it did have its funny parts).
My favorite character was David, because he seemed to know what the main issue was before any of the other characters. That, and he seemed more down to earth than any of the other characters.

I really enjoyed the book, although I did find it predictable. The problem was not so much as solving the mystery, but dealing with the answer. I would have enjoyed it more if there was a bit more mystery. The unique third person style of it was great, and I don't think I've read a book that used the perspective that way. Overall it was a great book, with a lot of depth, but a bit more mystery would have pulled me in even further.

I liked the novel. I'm into suspense, and this genre, fits perfectly into my likings. My favorite character was David's grandfather, Julian. I liked him because he had an upper hand on David's family, without them knowing. Plus, Julian was the previous sheriff of Bentrock, Montana, which shows that there was a sheriff family in the story. I didn't like David's dad, Wesley. I didn't like him because he acted as if he didn't have any control in his own life. The ending of the story didn't upset me, it surprised me. Frank killed himself, with the jars he threw across the root cellar. But in the epilogue, the remembrance of Marie, gave me a better understanding of her. In the book, I predicted the death of Marie, David eavesdropping on an unwanted matter of business, I also predicted that Wesley was going to arrest his brother, and move him into the basement. Finally, I would recommend this book to my friends, and in fact, I already have.

I enjoyed the book. It was filled with shocks, excitement, and suspense. As I read, my predictions came out wrong because of the unexpectabl turns. I would recommend this book to friends who enjoy readying about suspense.

The book was alright, but a little too ordinary for me. I mean if I wanted to read about sexual assault and jail I'd be looking into my own life. I want to hear something refreshing and different, something that aspires me and that I can pay attention to.

I think that this book was not that good at first but by the end it got so much better. it was so funny that David kept on listing to everyones conversation. I think that it was very sad on what uncle Frank did to Marie and to all Indian girls. I just knew that he was going to be proven guilty. This book was not that predictable but there were some parts. over all this book was very good ans intresting. I would not really recomend this book to some one because it took way to long to get into the good parts. I would like to read a book with y mystery or at least let us choice a book that we would like to read and then just do a project on it that would be fun.

Suprisingly, I really enjoyed the book. I liked how the book was full of suspense and drama. My favorite character was David and the Grandfather. I liked David because I admired his braveness and strength. He was put through a lot being the youngess of the family, and he seen a lot too be so young. I liked the grandfather because he was just a funny character. However, I didn't agree on how he always took Frank's side and always put Wesley's down. I liked how the book ended. It was sort of like a karma twist-"What goes around comes around". Frank molested the Indian Girls and killed Marie and in turn he commited suicide and took his own life..what a twist! Overall I enjoyed this book.

I think that the book was very interesting. It did many things to keep your attention. I think that plot was very creative. I don't think that this book was much of a mystery book because the suspense didn't last very long. I think that David was very sneaky and he was a young boy filled with many emotions. He made the book even more interesting when he added his feelings. Overall Montana 1948 is a good book

I would not be able to tell you much about the book Montana 1948. I began to read it and I placed it in my locker, but now I can no longer find it.I didn't get far into the book at all. Yet from what I have read it seemed very confusing and just a little boring, but I might be wrong.

I did not enjoy this book until the last 17 pages of the novel. The beginning to me was very boring. To me the book didn't have any action until the very end of the book. The end of the book kind of upset me, because by Frank commiting suicide really shows how much of a coward he is. If he didn't want to face going to prison then he shouldn't have did what he did to those Indian women. I also didn't like how Wesley's father was reacting to the whole situation. Regarless if that was his son or not what Frank did was wrong and he was a disgusting pig for thinking other wise. This book was a good read, but I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends, because I highly doubt any of them will read it. But it was a good book for me to read. It kept me busy.

-What did you think about the novel? Did you enjoy it or not, and why or why not?
Yes, it was an interesting book written differently than most but it was not one of my favorites

-Which character was your favorite? Why?
My favorite character was Len. The strange mystery surrounding his feelings was interesting but it was not over done, you got the feeling you could have known him, the author did this without dwelling too much on the character which I thought was well done.
-Did the ending of the book upset you as a reader? Why or why not?
No, probably because I was far too tired to really connect but also because David spent practically the whole book removing himself from Frank, considering shooting him at one point and then, when he first knows of his uncle’s death his first thought is, “I knew it would be better if he committed suicide!” but the author still tries to sell the whole “But I loved him!” thing. I thought that was stupid.
-Which character did you least like? Why?
I least liked Grandpa Hayden and Maxine. Grandpa Hayden wasn’t meant to be particularly likeable in the first place but wasn’t a very developed character and was not very interesting. Maxine, Wesley’s secretary, was just annoying with her drawl and tone and everything.

I thought the novel, Montana 1948, was very interesting and enjoyable. The only thing I had trouble with was paying attenton to the opening few pages, it was kind of confusing to me. Overall, after reading the book some more, it started to make sense to me. My favorite Character from the book was Gail, David's mother. She was my favorite character because I believe she was very assertive and she was loving, and to me this reminded me of myself.

I think it was alright, it wasnt the best book ever!
My favorite character was David because of his additude.
No it was a very good ending and I liked that Frank killed himself.
It did not help me relate to the book because I dont understand their lifestyle.
I dont think I can relate to any part of the book.
I least liked the mother because she always had a issue.
I noticed it was 3rd person.
I would not recommend it, the only thing I liked was the ending.
When Frank killed himself and people went to jail.
I predicted somebody was going to kill themself.

I kinda enjoyed the book. It was however very long and took to long to get to the point. I wish that next time the book we read would be a of more interest to young adults such as myself. My favorite character was the grandfather because he remind me a lot of my mother...
